Jacob's Ladder Block


On the Simply Quilts show on Friday, May 17th (#511), Alex Anderson showed a quilt she had done that was quilted by her guest.  It is a variation of the Jacob's Ladder block.  Her quilt was done in scrappy red, white and blue fabrics.  The basic block is a nine patch. Alternating four patches and half square blocks make up the patches of the nine patch.

As you can see, by rotating the block you get a cross hatch affect.
