Notes for Mary Moore
Mary Moore was born to Armstrong Moore and Anna Hamilton Moore November 21, 1837, near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she resided with her parents until she was five years of age, at which time she moved to Indianapolis, Indiana where she grew to womanhood, then moved to Spring Green, Wisconsin where she was married to Joel Campbell. To this union were born two children: Mrs. Vinna Henry of Nora Springs, and a son who died in infancy.

Mr. Campbell died in the army in 1861. After the close of the war, in 1866, she was united in marriage to Byron W Reynolds, who preceded her in death thirty-three years. To this union six children were born: Mrs. Luora[sic] Hill, Mr. Jesse Reynolds, and Mrs. Myrtle Keeney, who preceded her in death; Mr. B. A. Reynolds of Mason City; Mr. C. A. Reynolds of Wapakoneta, Ohio; Mrs. Maud Hebrank of Mason City. These with Mrs. Henry are left to mourn her passing. She also leaves fifteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren; two brothers, one sister, and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was the eldest of eight children, most of whom, with her father and mother, preceded er[sic] in death. She moved with her family to Farley, Iowa in a covered wagon in the early seventies and later came to Nora Springs when the town was still young, where she lived until her death at the ripe old age of 94 years, [] months, and 9 days. She had been an invalid since June 3, 1928 when she became suddenly ill and was never entirely well from that time. She breathed her last December 30, 1931.

She was a loving mother for us and has gone to her eternal home. Goodbye, dear Mother, til we meet in heaven.
